This project was a full scale renovation complete with new kitchen and bathrooms. Each room is unique in it’s cabinetry, ranging from white shaker doors to floating slab door vanities. The builder had a fun time painting the checkerboard pattern on the kitchen floors, but the result was well worth the effort and brings has a fun vibe for the fun client.

As is often the case, when I put a wood island countertop in a kitchen, it really makes a statement, and this one is turned up to 11. This is a single piece, full slab Guanacaste live edge top. It was so heavy it took four guys to lift. Just moving it around the shop was a challenge in and of itself. But just look at it, would ya! Isn’t it gorgeous? Seeing the full grain throughout the top without seams and glue lines is fascinating, and that deep red orange color works great with the cabinetry and floors below.
